Terms of Use
These are general terms written in plain language. They are not legal advice.
Astra is a small independent project: a Windows app, this website and an online service through which the app gets AI answers. This page explains in plain words how you may use them. By installing Astra or signing in, you agree to these terms.
1.What Astra is
Astra is a voice AI assistant for Windows 10 and 11. It answers by voice and text, solves questions on your screen (Screen mode), performs actions on your PC on your command, shows widgets and runs your commands.
AI answers come through our server from the DeepSeek model. Everything else — voice, commands, widgets, memory and history — runs on your computer.
2.Account
- The app needs an account. You sign in with Google or with a one-time code sent to your e-mail — we never store a password.
- Your account is personal. Don’t share access and don’t create multiple accounts to get more free credits.
- You are responsible for access to your e-mail and Google account.
- Computers signed in to your account are listed in your account, where you can unlink them.
3.Free plan and credits
Every day your account gets free credits. Actions spend credits at the prices shown on the Pricing page. Unused credits don’t carry over to the next day.
The number of credits and the cost of actions may change — the current values are always on the Pricing page and in the app.
4.Astra Plus subscription
Astra Plus is a paid subscription with a larger daily credit allowance. Until payments are connected, it is marked “Soon” on the site.
- The subscription is sold by a payment provider acting as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, calculates taxes and sends the receipt. Its terms also apply to the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time in your account. After cancelling, Astra Plus keeps working until the end of the paid month, and you won’t be charged again.
- If the price changes, we will tell you in advance; the new price applies from the next billing period.
- For refunds, see Refunds & cancellation.
5.AI answers
Answers are generated automatically by a model. They can be inaccurate or outdated — double-check anything important. Don’t treat Astra’s answers as medical, legal or financial advice.
If you use Screen mode for tests or assignments, follow the rules of your school, university or exam.
6.Actions on your PC
Astra performs actions on your computer only on your command. Risky actions — deleting or moving files, PowerShell commands, shutting down, ending programs — happen only after you confirm, unless you allowed them in advance yourself. Files are deleted to the Recycle Bin. You are responsible for the actions you confirm.
7.What you may not do
- use Astra for anything illegal or to harm others;
- bypass limits, hack the service, disrupt it or send automated bulk requests;
- resell access to Astra or pass the service off as your own;
- distribute modified versions of the app.
If you break these rules, we may limit or block your account.
8.Availability and liability
We work to keep Astra stable, but we can’t promise the service will always be available or error-free. Features may change, appear or go away.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Astra is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect damages, data loss or lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot be limited under the law of your country.
9.Deleting your account
You can stop using Astra at any time: uninstall the app and write to support if you want your account and its data deleted. Cancel any paid subscription in your account first.
10.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date is shown at the top of the page. We will announce significant changes on the site or in the app in advance.
